Now that you have an Essence what can you do with them?

Essences can be used for just about anything! And my list of examples is just a small snapshot of the truly limitless possibilities:

  • Internally: Can add to tea, tincture, cooking, water, under/ on tongue, in garden, for pets

  • Topically (preferably on areas where the skin is thin for quicker absorption- Ex. inside wrists, ears, bottoms of feet OR apply over area of concern)

  • Add to energetic room sprays/ mists

  • Offering to the land

  • Animals (Internal/ Topical)

  • Plants (In water)

  • During massage for Reiki treatments

  • As a smoke free alternative to a smudge/ cleanse

Tips and tricks:

If you add a drop of the essence to boiling water the alcohol content will evaporate, and serve once desired temperature- great alternative for infants

Dosage:

* Essences are preserved with alcohol. Please request alcohol free Essences if necessary.

Internally: 1-2 drops as needed

Topically: 1-2 drops as needed

Infants: 1 drop

Offering: This is truly up to you, I would recommend drop doses, as large quantities of the alcohol (preservative) would be destructive to the affected area

Animals: Animals are on average more sensitive than we are. It is recommended to dose an animal similar to that of an infant

Plants: 1-2 drops

What is your Essence good for?

What are you good for?

Essences as stated earlier are energetic and vibrational medicines. They are believed to work with our energies in order to raise our vibrational states. When we feel good we begin to function more efficiently on a cellular level, thus influencing our whole self, body, mind and spirit.

So how do you decipher which essence is for you?

Well, most essences have lists of "what they do" but I encourage you to intuitively connect and decide for your self. How do you do that you ask?

Let us use Daisy for example:

Daisy is a happy flower, kids are drawn to it, play with it, daisy bouquets, a flower related to summer and sunshine, etc. This list could go on. When I picture Daisy, my childhood imagination goes wild and brings me back to a time in an open field with the flower in some beautiful day dream.

I would use Daisy Flower Essence to reignite or support my playful, child- like self, to reconnect with happiness, joy and the rich, warm, liveliness of summer.

Note: This may not be what Daisy represents for you! Which is why I recommend you connect with the essence yourself Vs. looking it up online because online you will be referencing someone else's projections and connection, which would not be authentic to you.

Aren't there just Flower Essences?

Dr. Edward Bach brought the idea of Flower Essences to the public eye but in fact, everything has an energetic/ vibrational force. Your crystals, your flowers and plants, you, your animal, land, your favourite place, your home, etc etc etc. Everything!

I was explaining this to a dear friend of mine and she took a moment digesting what I had just told her, later she said "so, you are saying I can have an essence of myself and give it to my kids while I am away?!"

Absolutely!!! I remember when I was young and my mother worked shift work. I'd walk around carrying her pillow with me wherever I went because it smelt like her, which carried my mothers energetic/ vibrational essence!

Another example: Imagine your favourite place in the entire world. Is it a park? your home? your childhood home? a travel destination? anywhere!

Now, remember that feeling when you just arrive to this favourite place. There is a sense of safety and love. When I picture my place, upon arrival I stop for a moment and just take everything in, while I take a deep breath in and out.

This is us recognizing the energy/ vibration of that particular place!

Essences can allow us to capture that energy and bring it with us wherever we go!
